People often discuss the LGBTQ+ community as if all members face the same struggles. The reality is that the community is full of diverse individuals, each with their own rich, complex identities and challenges. For example, a transexual black woman experiences LGBTQ+ issues differently because she also experiences transphobia, racism, and sexism.

Standing by the LGBTQ+ community without acknowledging the multifaceted issues they face is only scraping the surface. LMI will be the first brand to start the conversation about the rich complexity of individuals in the community, and the high risks that come with that complexity.
